Who are we? It all started on a spring day in 2005 when two epidemiologists, an educator, an administrator for an epidemiology competition, and a web developer got together to talk about epidemiology education for younger students. While all of us were already working on various projects to make this happen, we realized that things might move faster if we self-described a “movement.”
We hope that you, too, appreciate Arlo Guthrie’s words in his song, "Alice’s Restaurant":
“And can you imagine fifty people a day; I said fifty people a day,
Walking in singing a bar of Alice's Restaurant and walking out.
And friends they may think it's a movement."
It is ten years later now, and we believe that there has been significant movement.
You are welcome to join us.
